美國1名年輕小媽媽一心只想當模特兒，疑似餓死出生只有59天的兒子遭到調查。

據英國《每日郵報》報導，惠絲特（Brittany Marie Wiest）的次子，去年4月因飢餓、脫水過世，死亡體中不到2300公克，比出生時還要輕。

警方經過調查後將她拘捕，她被空虐兒、疏忽及謀殺罪。惠絲特表示，當天與男友非兒子的生父醒來，發現兒子無反應就報警處理。

惠絲特目前懷孕24周，腹中胎兒、死去次子與長女都來自不同的父親，目前惠絲特以10萬美金(約新台幣315萬元)交保，本月17日上庭應訊。
