為了《12道鋒味》謝霆鋒已先後邀請眾人女神和男神作為嘉賓，遠赴歐洲及東南亞國家拍攝，不過當要在自己的出生地香港作拍攝時，謝霆鋒心目中嘉賓的不二人選當為陳奕迅莫屬。

謝霆鋒和陳奕迅都是音樂狂熱份子，也是同期歌手，兩人都在香港度過童年，他們擁有那些年相同的回憶。兩人聊起天來有談不完的話題。加上陳奕迅素有「吹神」外號，所以預料這次拍攝必定有拍不完的題材，非常期待。

當節目組和二人傾談拍攝地時，謝霆鋒提出去一個地方拍攝，就是香港的跑馬地公園，原來當年兩兄弟經常去這公園徹夜促膝談心，從天黑聊到天光，兩人再去吃街頭早餐。這段歲月至今成為兩人津津樂道的共同回憶。
