Taiwan-based Tatung is looking to expand its smart solutions further into the residential segment in the first half of 2015, according to company president WY Lin.
As part of the company's efforts to expand in the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, Tatung is developing several concepts including smart home features geared toward home device control and personal health management.
Tatung is also looking into the smart factory and smart commercial segments where it aims to promote energy-saving and smart management solutions, said Lin.
In 2015 Tatung is confident in increasing its overall performance and expects smart city opportunities in China to be a market worth tackling as China aims to have 600 smart cities by 2020, added Lin.
