民俗中，認為4不吉祥，也有醫院、旅館避用，但偏有人愛4成癡，別人不要的「4444」門號，他還蒐集了32個。

今日出版的《自由時報》報導，屏東佳冬鄉張姓男子偏愛4，從大學起就蒐集尾數「4444」的電話門號，目前有32個。日前因大眾電信不再提供服務，他將該電信全台唯二尾數「4444」門號攜出，也挑在4月4日將生效。

曾有葬儀社願以10萬元向張男買10支「4444」門號，他不願割愛，打算當傳家寶，這些門號能「生生世世」傳承。（即時新聞中心／綜合報導）
