手持 Sony Xperia Z 旗艦系列裝置的用戶很幸運，因為 Sony Mobile 已經確認了它們會得到 Android 5.0 Lollipop 升級，不過該公司卻一直沒有確認非 Z 系列的裝置會否升級；原來原因很簡單，就是沒有打算升了。近日 Sony Xperia 的官方 Twitter 坦白地向最少三位用戶表示，Android 5.0 的升級只會發放給 Xperia Z 系列，並表示抱歉。換言之，假如大家手持已推出的 Xperia M、C、E 和 T 系列裝置，而又想用到 Lollipop 的話，則要向 XDA Developers 的一眾神人求救了。要注意的是，Sony 公佈不久的 Xperia M4 Aqua 已預載 Lollipop，但 E4 和 E4g 則只分別預載 Android 4.4 和 4.4.4。
