美國參議院周一(7日)通過葉倫成為聯準會主席，此任命案通過後，葉倫將成為美國央行百年歷史上首位女性央行行長。

綜合外電報導，參院表決票數比為56：26，葉倫也將成為自 1987年 Paul Volcker離開民主黨後，首位主掌聯準會的民主黨人士。

葉倫的 4 年任期將從 2月 1日展開，因此，下次於 1月底舉行的 FOMC會議仍將由現任主席伯南克主導。
