美國人的甜甜圈狂熱退燒了嗎？從在台灣掀起排隊熱潮的美國甜甜圈業者Krispy Kreme的財報和股價表現，或許可略知端倪。

Krispy Kreme的第3季財報結果不如華爾街分析師預期，該股股價在公布財報的隔天早盤重挫近8%，今年來走勢由紅翻黑。

Krispy Kreme已連續兩季交出令人失望的財報，儘管近來銷售維持成長，但主要是受到「限時特價和其他促銷優惠」拉抬。該公司向來以甜甜圈買一盒送一盒的優惠促銷聞名，本周五適逢12月12日，Krispy Kreme即推出「Day of the Dozens」優惠，甜甜圈買一盒送一盒。這類流血促銷雖有助拉抬買氣，但也凸顯餐飲市場的競爭激烈。

今年初才從披薩業者Papa John's跳槽至Krispy Kreme的新科執行長湯普森坦言，為了提振銷售和獲利，眼前最大的挑戰，是如何誘使消費者掏錢買咖啡等其他高附加價值產品。
